And apparently there has been a much higher death toll amongst the big names than I had realised. I knew about the big ones like Arthur C Clarke and Heath Ledger, but I had missed Michael Crichton, Anthony Minghella, Levi Stubbs (aka Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors) and Geoffrey Perkins. Geoffrey Perkins? Who will carry the HHGTTG candle now that the two great powers behind it are gone!? Where will the new Mornington Crescent be birthed?
